Well done to all the swimmers from Chorley Marlins who competed at Bolton on Sunday. You did us proud.
The poolside team spirit was evident for all of the spectators to see, plenty of cheering each other on by both swimmers and coaches. The team looked smart in their club T shirts, and matching hats and costumes. It was great to see our younger swimmers out in force, keen to improve their times and gain invaluable experience racing. Many of our older swimmers were chasing County times, with most swimmers gaining good PBs, and some won medals. A couple of races had 3 Marlins in out of 8 swimmers. It was great to watch. Well done to Martha S, Daisy N, Lauren W, Layla A, Sarah G, Mia-Lou P, Holly T, Molly R, Caitlyn G, Grace H, Alice S, Emily B, Isabel D, Kate W, Keira D, Kate E, Katie H, Millie O, Mollie H, Kate D, Jurrand D, Alfie H, Ethan R, Owen K, Jayden L, Joe P, Liam W, Callum W, Daniel L, Joe A, Thomas R, Callan S, Stephen B, and Nathan W. Medals were won by Jurrand, Joe A, Joe P, Nathan, Stephen, Mia-Lou, Kate D and Katie. ( appologies if i have missed anyone off ) Well done to the parents, officials and coaches who helped on the pool side and those who swealtered in the heat watching and supporting. (Thank you to Rebecca G for the write up, much appreciated)

Dear All Thank you to everyone who attended the Prescot & Everton Spring Gala over the weekend, I hope all the coaches, swimmers and parents found the event enjoyable. Please find a copy of the results attached and all the times have now been submitted to the ASA and should be on the rankings within the next day or so. Regards Simon Deeley Coach / Team Manager / Competition Secretary Prescot Swimming Club
Well done to the 30 swimmers who competed at the Liverpool Splash and Dash Gala on Valentine’s Day. Seventeen of them hadn’t ever competed in a 50m long course pool and a further eight children were swimming some of their strokes in a 50m pool for the first time. They did the club proud and swam extremely well in a new environment, achieving their first long course personal best times to be recorded on the ASA website.
Of the children, who already had some long course times, the boys achieved 62% new PB's and the girls 57%. A special well done to Holly McHugh who achieved long course PB's for all four strokes. Congratulations to our medallists: Jordon O’Hara, 14 years age group: Gold in the 50 free. Lizzie Woodcock, 13 years age group: Gold 50 Fly, Silver 50 Back and Bronze 50 Breast. Unfortunately Lizzie was too fast to even be entered into the 50 Free so was unable to compete in this event. Anna Doughty, 15years and over age group: Gold 50m Free, Silver 50m Fly, Silver 50m Breast, Bronze 50 Back and Gold in the 14/over Skins competition. As usual the children’s behaviour on poolside was excellent and they were a credit to their families and our club. Well done to you all. Well done to all those who competed in our winter meet, the turn out was excellent and it was also great to see the enthusiasm of our younger Alpha swimmers taking the competition in their stride. Have a look at the results below for how well everyone did:
