What an exciting finish at the latest Micro league fixture, and one of the closest gala's we've attended for some time, it really did go down to the wire for some teams. The cannon was dramatic with the 2 front runners both being disqualified leaving Chorley to grab the win and finish in 2nd overall.
A great gala for all concerned and a big thank you to all that helped/swam, WELL DONE :) Have a look at the results sheet below We have had a record number of swimmers achieve qualifying times for this years County Championships,an achievement in itself to just compete against all that Lancashire has to offer. There were some great swims and a lot of PB's by our swimmers and the club is very proud of them all. Have a look at the results attached below to see how they did.
It was a tough opening round for us in Lancaster, and it was always going to be an uphill battle what with the stiff competition and several swimmers missing because of the half term holidays. Saying that I thought we handled ourselves pretty well and never let our heads drop even though we weren't picking up many points, which is great to see that our swimmers have that never say die attitude.
Well Done to all A great gala and a fantastic turnout from both Chorley Marlins & Leyland Barracudas, please see the below results for how your child swam. Well done to all our shrimps for making the gala successful
