If any swimmer needs times for any up coming galas or competitions could they please see Mary at their training session.
We've been made aware of this fantastic opportunity: Mark Foster, 6 times World Champion is bringing his successful 1 day swim camp to Liverpool this May half term. This is a fantastic opportunity for young swimmers aged 9-18yrs to spend the day with Mark as well as fellow Olympian Katy Sexton MBE and a team of expert Strength & Conditioning coaches and Sports Scientists. Please see the attached poster and letter detailing more information about the day and how to book on. Should 5 or more swimmers book on from Chorley Marlins we would gain an invite for a club coach to attend the day for free to observe all that goes on. So if you do book on the course please let Mary know.
We've recieved this plea from one of our members, could everyone please.
My son Jurand was at the BMSS gala on Sunday in Darwen. He has left his Marlins blue shirt there ( with his name Jurand on the back). Is any chance that someone from Chorly Marlins found it? Thanks Aneta We had planned to have our summer Sprint gala on the 24th june but It's been brought to our attention that England are playing in the world cup on the 24th June. We believe as quite a lot of people enjoy watching men chasing a ball, we have brought forward the gala to Sunday 17th June.
Details and entry forms will be available shortly This message is from Bolton's competition secretary, Nick
Hi All, Just a note for those who are attending Darwen at weekend. There is now an ANPR Camera in the car park, so you must register your car Reg plate in reception to save you getting a parking fine. There are also possible traffic delays on Sunday morning from 06.30am around Edgerton, Bethell are doing a big re-surfacing scheme there and there will be delays to traffic. As there is no diversion route through the works you might get stuck for a while. One alternative is to go up the M61 onto the M65 and come into Darwen via Junction 4 of the M65. thanks, Nick We've been informed by Bolton Metro Swimming club that the gala on Sunday will be finishing around 2pm, which is earlier than expected. Good news for those that want to catch a few rays in the only week of sunshine Chorley sees :)
