Round One of the North Lancashire Swim League will be held at Darwen Leisure Centre on Sunday 15th January 2023. The team sheet for the first fixture is below, please confirm availability in the comments section.
Admission 12.00pm - Warm up 12.15pm - Start 12.45pm. Spectator fees will be £4 with free admission for children. North Lancashire Swimming & Water Polo Association Swim League is a two Division league consisting of divisions of 7 or 8 team . Chorley Marlins are currently in Division Two. The competition takes place across 3 meets at three venues: Round 1 Sunday 15th January 2023 – Darwen Round 2 Saturday 11th March 2023 – Salt Ayre (Warm up 3.45pm) Round 3 Saturday 17th June 2023 – Blackpool Palatine The winners and promoted teams are decided by who has accumulated the most points across all 3 events. The team to represent Chorley Marlins is selected by the head coach prior to each event and consists of 4 to 5 boys and 4 to 5 girls in each of the following age bandings: Aged 12 and under (age on 30th June 2023) Aged 13 and 14 Aged 15 and over In 2023 Chorley Marlins will be competing against: Blackpool Aquatics B Clitheroe Dolphins Garstang Gators Kendal Lancaster Leyland Barracudas B Information received regarding Burnley Bobcats ‘Last Chance County Qualifier’ 2023 L3 Open Meet: We hope you’ve all had a great Christmas and are ready to welcome in the new year. Our County Qualifier meet is fast approaching, and we are looking forward to a full programme of racing with 31 teams from Lancashire and Yorkshire making it a very competitive Level 3 meet. Those familiar with BOBCATS meets at Darwen will be aware of the team seating arrangements, all teams will be based in the sports hall on Saturday and Sunday. We do this to ensure swimmers, spectators, officials, and coaches all have sufficient space to be comfortable for the duration of the meet. Your cooperation is vital to ensure the weekend runs smoothly, further information is provided below. Withdrawals:
In the event of Sessions 2 and 4 overrunning, Sessions 3 and 5 may start later to ensure coaches and officials have sufficient time for lunch. Any changes will be announced on the day. Warm-Ups in Sessions 2-5 have been split by boy/girl and by club and is attached below. Chorley Marlins boys are in Group B and girls are in Group D (Saturday) and Group F (Sunday). Seating arrangements for teams (Friday Evening) Teams will be able to sit on the scoreboard side of the pool for the duration of the distance freestyle events.
